The 2003 WomAdelaide festival was the first annual version of the event but our worries that the show might somehow be diluted by coming round more frequently were quickly dispelled . This was very good Womad, with some excellent acts we had never heard of before and the return of some old friends such as Shooglenifty and Bob Brozman . |

Highlights of 2003? Well, out of the bands, La Volée d’Castors, Shooglenifty and Rachid Taha really seemed to hit the nut on all occasions.Of the solo artists, Bob Brozman , Cara Dillon and Amjad Ali Khan with Matthew Barley were standouts . The first of the now well established All Star Jams was fun, if a bit shambolic and the weather was kind with relatively mild conditions on all three days .
