Yasmin Levy
Stage Two Sunday March 11th 4:15pm.
I hated Mariza and loved Yasmin Levy, I suppose both were intense ,both were masterful, but I think Ladino ( which is the genre that the Yasmin choses as her musical style ) is much less sentimental sounding than Fado, which is Mariza's speciallity. The fact that Ms Levy is also a delight to behold was a factor in my preference but only a minor one. She delivered her Sunday set with such passion and energy that I was converted. Another highlight of the weekend.
