Mike Cooper

Music Now Review

Blues guitarist /singer Mike Cooper played with composure and confidence. He refused to be overawed by the occasion . He played alone most of the time but was joined by a very freaky sax player on a couple of things. He sung some of his own songs playing acoustic guitar, but his work on slide came over best. The Janis Joplin song Turtle and the bluesy The Good Book Teach You , captured a good deal of the good Ol Country blues feel . A neat set that contained snatches of humour . One song he dedicated to " My Good friend Michael Chapman - the only guy I know who's got a black belt in the Kama Sutra."
