The Cat Empire .

Stage 1: Sunday 8th March 2009 7:20pm

    Second time round at Womadelaide for the Cats. which probably means this will be the last time they will perform at the festival, as the organisers generally try to book new acts and not repeatedly recycle the old ones . Since their first show here they have become a big name and the crowd was mostly composed of young things who had come to see "their " band . A very good set, full of energy, composed of some old chestnuts and with a sprinkling of new material as well. The crowd sang lustily along to the familiar gems . The band were joined by Paprika Balkanicus for a couple of songs, which revved up the energy level nicely .
