Ozzy Osbourne: Donington 1984

Drum tech Robert Jackson was present on stage under the drum riser when a kid decided to storm the stage during Ozzy's set and show the wild one and his band the level of his undying affection !

The photographer writes : "Maybe I should explain what's going on in these three photos.

The first one ( above ) is Ozzy running across the stage toward Jake E. Lee, who is playing the guitar. Notice the tattoos on Ozzy's left arm. Ozzy is wearing black satin pants with long cowboy-style fringe down the legs, and the fringe is fluttering and kinda blurred from the motion. His bum is not disintegrating !"

"In the second photo , a kid has somehow broken through the security and has hugged Ozzy, who just hugged him back. Then the kid grabbed Jake from behind and they all three fell down on the wet stage. The kid was holding on to Jake, and Ozzy was trying to separate him from Jake. You can see Jake flat on his back, and you can barely see the fretboard of his guitar. Jake is wearing black leather pants and has a white ribbon tied above his right knee. Compare their clothes to the other photos posted on the site. All that is visible of the kid in this shot is his shoulder, to the right of Ozzy in the photo. You can also see some dumbass crew guy on the left taking photos instead of doing anything to help! (Wonder where his photos are.)" © Robert Jackson

" Jake is back on his feet and escaping from the melee. Notice his black leather pants and the white ribbon tied around his leg. The kid is still grasping Ozzy's hand as he is being dragged away by the bass tech, Barrie, in white, and Jake's guitar tech, "Spike." Again, you can see the tattoos on Ozzy's left arm.

I apologize for the poor quality of these photos. I was working behind the drums for Aldridge, and just grabbed the camera with one hand and shot through the drum riser. Too bad the kid's face isn't visible. If it were, he could be famous as the guy who crashed the stage at Donington!"
