Dance Groups.- Performances by Aboriginal bands and dance groups to a mainstream white audience are pretty rare in Australian cities, so Womad is a valuable showcase for the Aboriginal community to present their performing arts skills to a large audience . This year Bangarra and the Mornington Island dancers thrilled the crowds with their impressive mix of song and dance .
