The Opening Ceremony- Greeting from the Kuarna people.

     On Friday the festival was officially opened by Carl Telfer, representative of the traditional owners of the land on which the festival is held, Carl spoke first in the language of his people and then in English.
Here's the transcript of what he said.
    Greetings, I'm third generation Kuarna warrior. This place where you're sitting , this is the land of my ancestors. It is the territory of the Guarna nation . I welcome you all here to the country of the peacemaker Jerbruki and in his spirit have a peaceful and a most enjoyable weekend ,as we are all here for the World Of Music and Dance . Thank you.
