     This event was promoted by the same guy who did the Donington Monsters of Rock shows , Paul Loasby . Not a lot is known about this one, an indulgent and largely self obsessed review was published in a music paper , which was almost entirely about how pissed off ( and pissed ) the journo was during his time backstage and which provided almost no useful details of the show itself.......

    However, from the review one could gather that the weather was very fine, that Teardrop Explodes did not perform . That Eddie Tudor of Tenpole Tudor was pelted with mud dredged from the depths of the lake in front of the stage , that Madness encored with Vienna and Ultravox encored with Baggy Trousers ---- as a homage to each other ( surely not ) and Sponooch were terrible. Oh and the show started at one and finished at eight PM just as it said in the advert .....

It appears Ultravox's set was recorded as five songs have appeared on several releases, seen here .
